Is the Mass really a Sacrifice?

by Steve Ray on October 11, 2004

In 1 Corinthians 10 Paul compares three sacrifices, that of Israel, that of the pagans and the sacrifice of Christians. He speaks of “the Table of the Lord“ which the Old Testament prophets explained as an altar of sacrifice Malachi 1:7-12). Look at the chart below and see if Paul didn’t clearly view the Eucharist as a sacrifice offered by the gentile nations from east to west in the Church..

Watch My Parish Priest — or else!

by Steve Ray on October 11, 2004

My parish priest, and the pastor who received our family into the Catholic Church ten years ago, will be on the Journey Home tomorrow (Monday, October 11). He is wonderful, orthodox, faithful, cotuinually learning, and a really fun guy. He rides a Harley, is a black belt in Karate and is a fabulous priest. He is also a convert. I think he is the best priest in the world.
