Judge gives order to remove Terri’s tube; ignores congressional order

Clearwater, Florida, Mar. 18 (CWNews.com) – The Florida judge overseeing the case of disabled woman Terri Schiavo reversed a decision earlier on Friday and said that her feeding tube can be removed, causing her eventual death from dehydration. Judge George Greer’s decision comes in response to a congressional subpoena calling Terri as a witness to hearings scheduled for later this month.

Greer said Congress had overstepped its bounds, that it is federal interference in a state matter, legislative overstepping of the separation of powers, and that the case has long been decided in his court.

A congressional subpoena carries penalties with it for anyone who interferes in someone called as a congressional witness. How the hospice where Terri is being held will respond is still unknown.

Update later today, Friday —  the tube has been pulled from Terri’s body and unless it is put back in — she will begin starving to death which might take about two weeks before she dies. God have mercy on that judge and the other idiots involved in starving a woman to death — in America no less!
