Year of St. Paul — My Free St. Paul Timeline

by Steve Ray on July 19, 2007

TimelinePaul.jpg   In anticipation of my radio shows on Friday — Catholic Answers Live (listen on-line) and Relevant Radio's Searching the Word — I am posting my St. Paul Timeline so everyone can get the big picture.

PaulDVD.jpgWhen I was teaching my series on Acts of the Apostles (see the audio CDs here) I decided to make this Timeline for my own use, to help me keep his life, his journeys and writings all sorted out. So now I will make it available to the listeners of my radio shows.

Also, if you'd like to learn more about Paul you can purchase my detailed documentary filmed on location in 5 countries — entitled Paul, Contending for the Faith. It comes with a very thorough Study Guide. I also have several talks on St. Paul which you can see here.

Hi Steve,

Your Pauline timeline is very interesting and useful, but I am confused at least a little about one aspect. Is the arrow above the words “The end of Acts” meant to apply to that text (as seems most likely) or for the adjacent text “AD 70: …”. If it is, as seems likely, for the end of Acts, perhaps it would be more immediately clear if there were an arrow toward the right from “AD 70:”?

The arrow points to the blue line which is about the time Acts would have been written or when Paul was in prison in Rome about 62 AD. Luke must have written it shortly thereafter and before the destruction of the Temple. So the blue line basically indicates the end of the story told in the Acts of the Apostles.
