On Friday I spoke to hundreds of priests and seminarians at the Legionaries's Regina Apostolorum University in Rome. It was a great time and we were all blessed. We spent 6 hours together!

My talk was the same as I give to my pilgrims at Banias (Caesarea Philippi) in Israel. The talk was entitled "Peter: the Rock, the Keys & the Chair." This is his third year of addressing the university. Pictures and more info later.

I have been invited back next year to do an intensive semester on apologetics. So, we are planning the curriculum and I am excited about this opportunity to teach priests and seminarians how to defend the faith as they spread out through the world to serve the Lord and his Church.

End of Life Issues

by Steve Ray on April 12, 2008

THINKING WITH THE CHURCH AT LIFE'S END

Each one of us will be leaving here some day. Some will leave suddenly, and others will linger for some time before taking that final journey.

To help you understand Church teaching on such things as advance directives, euthanasia, and physician-assisted suicide, the National Catholic Bioethics Center provides "A Catholic Guide to End-of-Life Decisions." It includes a health care proxy and an advance medical directive that are in full accord with Catholic teaching.

You can obtain the "Guide" by going to the Center's web site, http://www.ncbcenter.org, or by phoning 617-787-1900.

(Don't mind the picture, that's just Steve discussing death in a scene from his video Jesus, Word Became Flesh).
