Wednesday I Host Al Kresta Live on Ave Maria Radio

by Steve Ray on June 17, 2008

To listen to the archived show over the internet click here and go to June 18, 2008 — or, click here for the first hour and here for the second hour.

RadioSm.jpgAt first I said “NO! I have NEVER hosted a radio show before; I’ve only been a guest.”  But Nick Thomm, Al Kresta’s producer at Ave Maria Radio asked again — and Al asked me too — I said, “OK, I’ll give it a try once. If it is a flop and I make a fool of myself then I won’t ever do it again.”

So, from 4:00-6:00 PM Eastern time Wednesday I will be in front of the microphone in Ann Arbor Michigan. Visit www.AveMariaRadio.net to listen on line.

CSSGail.jpgThe first hour I will interview Gail Buckley who founded Catholic Scripture Study International. CSS has over 10,000 members in 40 countries studing the Bible together in the heart of the Catholic Church. It is growing rapidly. We will ask her about her conversion to the Catholic Church, her Catholic Bible Study program and about how a cat nearly killed her husband. (Picture of Gail to the right, wearing my hat!)

For more info, call 866-887-2774 or visit www.CatholicScriptureStudy.com.

RosalindSm.jpgFrom 5:00-5:30 we will interview Rosalind Moss who is a Jewish convert and an excellent apologist who is starting her own religious order in St. Louis. The name of her order is Daughters of Mary, Mother of Israel’s Hope. I just love that “Jewish” title. (Janet and I taking Ros back to the airport in Detroit.) Truly, hearing Rosalind Moss speak is always a moment of grace. I would have liked to hear more from her on the show. I got the impression that it was rushed and considering the unique and timely mission of her sisters and their apostolate, I think it would have been EXCELLENT to hear more! I know for myself that, as a young adult who is considering a religious vocation, hearing her love for the Lord and the AWESOME mission of her new order is always helpful! Either way, thanks for the excellent interview.

Steve,
You did an awesome job on Al’s show. I really enjoyed your conversation with your friend Fr. Skelton.

You and Al are inspirations. Thank you for your work and your public love of Christ and his Church.
