Today I Have Been Married to Janet for 32 Years

by Steve Ray on December 4, 2008

It was the best thing I ever did — marrying that girl! I couldn’t have found a better friend, partner, lover, or mother for our children. I thank God for her. I even wrote her parents again this anniversary (like every anniversary) and thanked them for letting me marry their incredible daughter.

She reminds me of the passage in Proverbs 31:10-31. Here are a few exerpts:

A good wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels. The heart of her husband trusts in her, he will have no lack of gain. She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life. … Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.”

This is a picture of Janet and I at our wedding. Geez, time sure changes things — at least with me. Janet still looks pretty much the same — with an emphasis on pretty.

Congratulations! And, wow, Steve, you haven’t changed a bit! Have to cut this short – I’ve got to go find my glasses. . .

God bless.
