Peter Jaskiernia was a pilgrim on our recent Scott Hahn Pilgrimage. He has a bushy head of hair and a mustache you have to see to believe (you’ll see in the pictures :-)  Peter is Polish with an enchanting accent and was absolutely delightful — and now I find out he was also a great photographer and videographer. Enjoy!

For his video clips of the trip, click here.

Russia’s Pravda understands; why don’t we?

by Steve Ray on May 31, 2009

We have wasted most of our lives reading American Newspapers when we should have be reading the Russian newspaper Pravda (Truth). The English language translation has been available free on line since 1999. Read the stunning editorial “American capitalism gone with a whimper” by Stanislav Mishin (web address below). It is about the Russian perception of Barack Obama accomplishments so far and the predictable future of our country under his leadership.

Thanks to Dr. Stephen Patton for this link.
WARNING: The Pravda site is not always clean and often has sexual or suggestive ads. If this is a problem, do not view this site. I have not found a way to provide the good content of the article without the suggestive ads on the Pravda site.

May 29, 2009

My Protestant friend Dr. Stephen Patton, though thoroughly catholic in spirit, wrote an interesting review of Brown’s new movie Angels & Demons.
