Cuomo’s concubinage and holy Communion

by Steve Ray on January 4, 2011

Unicef_14My friend and canon lawyer Ed Peters writes:

Andrew Cuomo, governor of New York, and Sandra Lee, a television celebrity, live in what is known technically as public concubinage.

The fact that both Cuomo and Lee are divorced renders the concubinage adulterous on both sides as well.

Yet another example of a spineless bishop not shepherding their flock. A divorced, pro-abort politician attends the Holy Mass with his divorced, live-in girlfriend, and sits in the front row. No shame, no admonition from the bishop of Albany. This is a travesty repeated over and over again by too many “Judas” bishops.

They are dogs with mighty appetites; they never have enough. They are shepherds who lack understanding; they all turn to their own way, they seek their own gain. Isaiah 56:10-12

It is strange to see men and women who should know better selling their souls to hell for a little carnal pleasure. It is sad that the bishop has not taken him aside and warned him that he is in danger of eternal fire.
