Controversial Talks in Dallas

by Steve Ray on March 7, 2011

Ran 6.2 miles this morning in Dallas. Seems that my talk on Peter and the Papacy offended Baptists last night. Tonight I speak on Mary at St. Francis of Assisi in Grapevine. Can’t wait! Tomorrow I speak on the Eucharist.

Steve,

I am excited you are here in Texas but unfortunately I cannot attend any of your talks while you are here. Will you be posting them up on your site? If so, will they be free? :)

I am a revert to the faith but unfortunately my brother and one of my sisters are fallen away to “non denominational” bible based churches. I have used many of your articles as amunition for our family debates. Maybe someday with the help of the Holy Spirit I can bring them back. I am hoping I can use some of your wisdom from “Crossing the Tiber” when I finish it.

Keep up the good work!

Yours in Christ,

John Zeilan

Steve,

We’re parish members of St. Francis Grapevine. I had to travel for my job this week or I would have been at the retreat. I checked your blog to see what I’m missing and wow, what a headline…will you be giving more detail re the Baptist controversy?

In any case, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK+++

Steve,

Keep up the good fight, and I will pray that your words will warm the cold souls of those that hear.

Not sure of the controversy, my guess is that it involves the structure of the Church. Anyway, it is good to have the Catholic position stated and defended. Baptist’s are cool but just another limb on the branch of a tree that could not recognize truth and authority.
