Yeah… best I can remember, he’s neither a descendant of Joseph Smith nor a Catholic Priest. Thomas Smith was a Mormon missionary descended from Joseph Smith’s family, but I don’t think from Joseph himself. Best I can tell, he’s currently discerning the diaconate, not the priesthood.
