American Situation in a Nutshell – Why 2012 Election is so Important!

by Steve Ray on June 4, 2012

The folks who are getting the FREE STUFF don’t like the folks who are paying for the FREE STUFF, because the folks who are paying for the FREE STUFF can no longer afford to pay for both the FREE STUFF and their own stuff.

And, the folks who are paying for the FREE STUFF want the FREE STUFF to stop.

And the folks who are getting the FREE STUFF want even more FREE STUFF on top of the FREE STUFF they are already getting!

Now… the people who are forcing the people who pay for the FREE STUFF have told the people who are RECEIVING the FREE STUFF that the people who are PAYING for the FREE STUFF are being mean, prejudiced, and racist.

So… the people who are GETTING the FREE STUFF have been convinced they need to hate the people who are paying for the FREE STUFF by the people who are forcing some people to pay for their FREE STUFF and giving them the FREE STUFF in the first place.

We have let the FREE STUFF giving go on for so long that there are now more people getting FREE STUFF than paying for the FREE STUFF.

All great democracies have committed financial suicide somewhere between 200 and 250 years after being founded.   The reason?

The voters figured out they could vote themselves FREE STUFF from the treasury by electing people who promised to give them FREE STUFF from the treasury in exchange for electing them.

The United States officially became a Republic in 1776, 236 years ago.   The number of people now getting FREE STUFF outnumbers the people paying for the FREE STUFF.

We have one chance to change that in 2012. Failure to change that spells huge problems for the United States as we know it.

Good breakdown Steve. Just to add to it, we are endowed by our CREATOR with the rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. These rights are specifically ordered from highest to lowest priority, so in a very distorted way, the pursuit of happiness is trumping the value we place on life and liberty.

This is how democracies fail!

PAUL WRITES
…except that, by categorising the needy as “people getting FREE STUFF”, you are ignoring Christ’s demand that we care for the needy. We’ve had a “FREE STUFF” health system here in the UK for a considerable time and it works. It may not be perfect, but when my health insurance tells me it won’t cover my wife’s chronic condition, or my own pre-existing condition, or whatever, that doesn’t matter. I get the care I need, my wife gets the drugs she needs and we can go on being productive members of society. Sure, some of my tax bill goes to funding the care of my the terminally ill neighbour; some of it goes towards the drug-rehab programme that will, hopefully, get the junkie down the street off dependence and back into society; some of it even funds the guy four doors down who has never worked and has no intention of ever working. That’s how tax is supposed to work: by taking a bit of everyone’s money so that everyone gets a certain minimum standard of life.

It’s the least of what Jesus asked of us.

STEVE RAY HERE:
IN AMERICA IT IS A SYSTEM GONE AMUCK. ONE HALF OF THE POPULATION IS NOW RECEIVING FUNDS FROM THE GOVERNMENT AND HAS LOST THE MOTIVATION OR WILL TO GO OUT AND WORK AND BE PRODUCTIVE. IT IS THE JOB OF THE CHURCH AND PRIVATE GENEROSITY, STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENTS TO HELP THE POOR AND NEEDY. IT WAS NEVER INTENDED, NOR SHOULD IT ME IMPLEMENTED BY THE MASSIVELY INCOMPETENT AND WASTEFUL FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.

AMERICA BECAME GREAT NOT BY GIVE AWAYS AND HANDOUTS TO EARN VOTES. IT BECAME STRONG AND GOOD BY HARDWORKING PEOPLE WORKING AND SHARING AND BUILDING A COUNTRY OF INGENUITY AND HARD WORK. HELPING THE POOR IS ALWAYS WHAT WE DO BEST, BUT NOT BY GIVING THINGS AWAY FREE.

BRITAIN’S HEALTH CARE SYSTEM, LIKE THAT OF CANADA AND OTHER NEARLY SOCIALIST COUNTRIES, DOES NOT WORK WHICH IS WHY MANY OF YOU COME TO OUR COUNTRY FOR HEALTH CARE. WE WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH NATIONALIZED MEDICINE PRECISELY BECAUSE WE DON’T WANT THE KIND OF SYSTEM YOU HAVE. NO ONE IN AMERICA IS DENIED HEALTH CARE.

SCRIPTURE SAYS, “2 Thessalonians 3:10–12 (ESV) “For even when we were with you, we would give you this command: If anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat. For we hear that some among you walk in idleness, not busy at work, but busybodies. Now such persons we command and encourage in the Lord Jesus Christ to do their work quietly and to earn their own living.”

How about start with education in the poorest of areas and groceries that are not from gas stations. The undereducated and impoverished have no job opportunities or a practical will to survive these days. The Canadian nurses I work with love their health system in Canada, they have no complaints. They work in Detroit because it is close to their homes in Windsor. Immigrants are despised but American companies take jobs overseas and pay foreigners. It is all upside down.
