Has Europe Lost it Soul?

by JesseRay on February 2, 2012

Jesse Ray here: I found this article by Rabbi Sacks very educational and the section on “Morality and the Crisis” especially thought provoking. He explores how our current market economy was formed under the auspices of Judeo-Christian values, and he draws a compelling picture of why our current economic shake-up has a central spiritual dimension: [...]

Seeing 400,000 Protesting Abortion in Washington

by Steve Ray on January 23, 2012

If you are interested in seeing a little bit of the March for Life, this is the link.  As usual the weather is miserable, but they expect over 400,000 people, but what is most encouraging is that 75% of them are young people.

This morning President Obama called New York Archbishop Timothy Dolan to break the news. (Announced by www.CatholicVote.org) Secretary of Health and Human Services and pro-abortion Catholic Kathleen Sebelius just announced that the proposed mandate requiring all insurance plans to pay for contraception, sterilization and some abortion drugs is official — and Catholics cannot escape. …and [...]

Persecuted Christians Suffer on Christmas

by Steve Ray on December 25, 2011

ROME, DEC. 24, 2011 (Zenit.org).- For Christians in so many countries around the world — Iraq, Pakistan, Egypt, and others — and even for Christians in Bethlehem, the celebration of Christmas means facing particular difficulty. In Iraq, for example, where another round of suicide bombings on Thursday killed some 70 people, there will be no [...]

What a delightful and fun hour! If you have two brain cells that connect and wish to understand God and the world — and if you aren’t afraid of the truth and talk about sex — you will LOVE this. If you aren’t polltically correct about atheism and Islam and other such things, you will [...]

Better Economic System than Free Market?

by Steve Ray on December 14, 2011

Milton Friedman interviewed by liberal TV host Phil Donahue thirty years ago. Two minute video well worth watching which blows away some of the confusion about Capitalism and Free Market Enterprise. Click HERE.

My insurance agent sent out a promotional flier with a “Holiday Special.” Plastered on the front of the oversized envelop was “Merry, Merry, Merry!”       Then nothing! Why not finish it with what we all expect — Merry CHRISTMAS! People are cowards and afraid to say something that 99% of people want to hear and 1% [...]

A book and a review evaluate the sad but predictable situation. The Zenit article begins: 1. Churches do have an active engagement with teens, but many of the young people do not grow up to be faithful adult followers of Christ. 2. There are a variety of reasons people drop out, so it is important [...]

Obama and Yom Kippur

by Steve Ray on November 19, 2011

“Hi. This is President Obama. Is our good Jewish Senator Joe Lieberman in?” “No, Mr. President. It’s Yom Kippur!” “Well, Hello, Yom. Can I leave a message?” (I was criticized for posting this joke about President Obama. If interested, I responded to the criticism below in the Comments.)

Pope Calls for “Central World Bank”?

by Steve Ray on October 25, 2011

Read the full article HERE to see why the Vatican has not done what the media is trying to tell us it did. The media loves to twist the Vatican’s words to suit their own purposes and to be sensational. First, the matter came from a Vatican congregation – not the Pope. Second, there was [...]

It won’t stop with the Gay Agenda. What is next? The article linked below is saying what I’ve warned for a long time. When one unthinkable activity and sin is allowed there is always another more grotesque moral deviancy lined up in the queue. What is the next agenda to be forced down our throats [...]

John Adams (1735-1826) was a Founding Father of the United States. He was raised in an austere Protestant movement called the Puritans who left England to flee liturgical Christianity and to find religious freedom. He was raised as a Congregationalist and later turned to Unitarianism. He was elected President of the United States in 1796. [...]

I recommend taking 30 minutes to watch this video. A Protestant Christian is confronting people on the street. He starts with Hitler and the slaughter of innocent people and then uses it with precision in his questions about abortion, heaven and hell. In this short video young people are interviewed on the street. It is [...]
