Ask Steve to Speak

Steve Ray here! I would love to come to your parish or conference to share the truth and beauty of the Catholic Faith. From my conversion story to our adventures overseas, from my talks on St. Paul to raising a Catholic family, from teaching the Bible to explaining the Eucharist, I am excited and ready to speak to your group! I have given seminars and talks all over the world (Rome, Jerusalem, Bombay, Dubai, Philippines, Japan, Australia and many more). I have worked extensively with with EWTN, St. Joseph Communications, Catholic Answers, Franciscan University of Steubenville, Legatus, Fullness of Truth, Catholic Scripture Study International, Defensores Fidei Foundation, Ignatius Press, Regina Apostolorum Univeristy in Rome, Family of Faith in Bombay and the Arab Emirates, and many others. He has appeared on Fox News and is a regular guest on EWTN, Relevant Radio, Ave Maria Radio, Catholic Answers Live, and many other TV and radio programs.

“I want to invite Steve Ray to speak at our event. What do I do?”

Step One: Check Steve’s Schedule.

Step Two: Review pricing information (below).

Step Three: Complete the Speaking Request Form.

Step Four: Steve will respond by e-mail (or phone) letting you know if he can accept the invitation — and he may request further information. Please allow a week or two for Steve’s response — we don’t have a staff, we do this all ourselves.

Step Five: If Steve is available for your event, he will ask for an Official Invitation Letter by e-mail, fax or US mail. Please make sure your letter includes the following:

• Name, address, phone number, e-mail for contact person;
• Statement of agreement and acceptance of the fees and conditions;
• Specific dates and times you are inviting Steve to speak;
• Short description of event and the talks you request Steve to give;
• Agree that Steve can display and sell his products
• Agree to have volunteers manage his three table and sales;
• Shipping address to send products;
• Permission to begin working on travel arrangements;
• Agreement to reimburse for plane tickets within two weeks of purchase (if applicable).

Step Six: When Steve receives your Official Letter of Invitation, he will contact you with a final acceptance and will begin making arrangements. He will gain your approval before making any final travel arrangements.

Speaking Fees and Arrangements

Speaking fees:

-Local talks (within reasonable driving distance – approximately 100 miles – with no overnight stay) $850 for first talk, $250 for each additional talk given on the same day or at the same event. Coverage of expenses including 50¢ per mile and any meals incurred.

-Overnight Trips: One night away is $2,000 for up to three talks plus expenses. Additional cost of $250 for same event requiring a second night away (e.g., if we can’t get a plane out until the following day). Added events at nearby locations requiring an additional night away will be $1500. Multiple days or special situations can be negotiated. For events exceeding one night away Janet may travel with Steve.

-International Events: Please contact me at sray@me.com to discuss pricing and arrangements.

Sponsors provide:

1) All expenses such as airline tickets, transportation, meals, hotels, internet access, etc.

2) Three tables to display and sell products which he will provide.

3) Volunteers to sell and maintain the book tables at all times.

4) Checks are to be made to Crossing the Tiber Productions (or simply CTTP), 2037 Hunters Creek Drive, Ypsilanti, MI 48198.

Steve and Janet fly Delta Airlines or one of their SkyTeam partners and will purchase the tickets themselves after pre-approval from the sponsor. We usually book our own hotel. We don’t stay in homes and prefer a non-smoking room with internet access (Hampton Inn, if possible).
